The 8th International Conference of Advanced Communication Technology (ICACT 2006), together with the technical sponsorship of IEEE Daejeon Section, was held so successfully at Phoenix Park, Korea on February 20-22, 2006.
The theme of ICACT2006 is "Toward the Era of Ubiquitous Networks and Societies."ICACT2006 Technical Program Committee (TPC) finally selected 442 papers among about 620 papers submitted from 27 countries, and the papers were presented in the technical sessions. The accepted papers were examined by 103 expert reviewers. The ICACT2006 consisted of 77 sessions including an invited session with remarkable world experts.
