Is there any difference between the near-field model and the far-field model? What is the classification based on? Near-field model usually considers the scenarios over high frequency band and the short distance between the transmit and receive. Due to short wavelength, the AoA at each receiver antenna appears different properties and values. For far-field model with large wavelength and long distance, the AoAs at different antennas of receiver usually have similar values. Usually, mmWave system over indoor scenarios adopts near-field model for research.

Glad to read your article. In the simulation setup of this article, the author only arranges a small number of users. I want to know whether the algorithms proposed in this paper can be used in a larger simulation environment? Thanks a lot for your question. Yes, this paper only considers one interference signal with the simple algorithm. For multiple users, it is difficult to build fingerprints for considering all combinations. We are still working for this direction.

Dear author Excellent work! Here's a question, have you tried using other AoA detection technique like ESPRIT or Root-MUSIC? Can they fit the system? Thanks a lot for your question. Yes, it is true there exists many AoA detection methods such as ESPRIT,Root or 2D-MUSIC. I think these method can be used in this system. Our purpuse is not to find the correct AoA but use the MUSIC based spectrum as the‘signature’ of space for interference dection and localization. Therefore, any methods which can generate the‘signature’ of space will fit for the proposal.

Thanks for the nice presentation! I have two questions: (i) Have you tried any other type of antenna array? Does it have any impact on the performance? (ii) Are you detecting two UEs and one interferer simultaneously or one by one? In case all transmitters are transmitting at the same time and use the same frequency, does it impact the performance? Thank you for your good questions. Here are my answers for your two good questions. 1. Yes, I guess the performance will be different if we selected some other types of antenna array. The antenna array type will decide the spatial resolution which can be found in the interference localization as shown in the last two figures of our paper. Therefore, more antenna arrays in both X-axis and Y-axis will further improve its accuracy. 2. This paper only considers the method using one-by-one way because the FP is built using only one interference signal. It can be upgraded for the multi-user case. However, the size of FPs will be dramatically increased.
