Hello, Can you explain to us how it goes the encoding of LDPC codes and what is the interest of the applied to the 5G I believe this question is not related to the current paper. Here is a nice article of LDPC coding -- Hui D, Sandberg S, Blankenship Y, Andersson M, Grosjean L. Channel coding in 5G new radio: A tutorial overview and performance comparison with 4G LTE. ieee vehicular technology magazine. 2018 Oct 1;13(4):60-9.

Hello, I'm Li Yi from Northeastern University. I'm glad to read your paper. Is it possible to say that the effect of using crosspolarized antenna array will be much better than that of parallel antenna elements for 5G era communication equipment? Are there other factors influencing this result. Thanks Hello, Li Yi. Indeed, in this work we imply that for random Tx-Rx orientation, copolarized arrays are likely to suffer bigger loss than the crosspolarized. Therefore, yes usage of crosspolarized arrays will give better results. Another aspect of it is the manufacturing process. It is likely that BS will be equipped with crosspolarized array and UE - with copolarized array, due to a physical constraints

Thank you for your presentation. I'm very interested in your research, because my research is about distributed massive MIMO for mmWave antennas. My question is, what is the frequency range of your research? Because I thought that mmWave propagation is something different from the one at sub 6GHz. Do you have any idea or research results when adapting your results to mmWave distributed MIMO antennas? Thank you for your question. In our research we focus on a 28GHz-38GHz frequency range. We are currently trying to explore how the polarization effect would affect other aspects of communication, such as positioning, AoA, and channel estimation, synchronization, then we will perhaps move to distributed MIMO applications. So please follow our research

Thank you for your very interesting presentation. My name is Kawano, and I am a student at Kyushu Institute of Technology. I have a question on page 8 of the slide. Q. In the figure on the right, I learned that when the tilt angle of the antenna is changed, the change in total power is large in Cpol-Cpol case and small in other cases. Which is preferable from the viewpoint of the degrees of freedom of MIMO? Thank you. Hello, Kawano, nice to meet you and thank you for question. Crosspolarized antenna array would be preferrable for dof of MIMO, it has both good BER performance and smaller correlation between antennas

Thank you for your presentation. In Fig. 4, the maximum mean channel power of Xpol-Xpol and Xpol-Cpol for |h21| and |h22| (about 1.2) is smaller than that of other cases (about 1.35) . Why does such difference occur? Thank you for a good question. Such a phenomenon occurs due to a leakage of energy and correlation in Cpol-Cpol array. We shall need take more time for more detailed inverstigation of this by reviewing cdl channel model

Hello,my name is Jingjing Hu.It is a pleasure to enjoy your work. Could you explain the reliability and advantages and disadvantages of your performance evaluation basis? Thanks. Hello, Jingjing Hu, thank you for your question. The contribution of this work lies in investigating how antenna polarization influences link performance using the actual CDL channel models, which allows a more precise quality of service (QoS) provisioning. To the best of the authors knowledge, it was the first work that explores the effects of polarization based on CDL channel model. Simulation results reflect performance gaps between the different polarization scenarios, which can serve as a reference design for 5G communication products.

Thank you for your interesting presentation. This may be sound like a silly question, but, in the slide No.7, Xpol-Xpol and Xpol-Cpol curves in |h21|2 and |h22|2 are slightly off-centered. Does this tiny gap come from the noise term in the previous slide? Thank you for your question. This gap comes from the fact that energy is not in linear dependence from the tilt angle and consists of sum of sin and cos component for Xpol-Cpol array. Hence, there is this small variation of signal power.
