What is the problem with QoS-aware Resource Allocation? The NB-IoT network's Resource Allocation Type defines how the scheduler will distribute resource blocks for each transmission. Essentially, power, bandwidth, uplink/downlink channel, data rate, etc. are the radio resources most closely related with resource allocation schemes. The proposed system in our paper established Qos Aware Resource Allocation by achieving the lowest delay and the highest delivery ratio while allocating resources.

Dear author , thanks for your nice presentation. How is the sensing device paired with the CUE? Direct radio communications between cellular users are permitted in networks that support D2D which can be sensing device for the transmission of data. The pairing of close proximity CUEs is one of the initial steps in setting up D2D links.

What dose "NB-IoT" mean? What is the difference between NB-IoT and traditional IoT? Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a wireless communication technology standard developed by 3GPP. It is a licensed Low Power Wide Area Network Technology which provides long range communication and long battery life for various application. IoT or Internet of Things refers to billions of physical devices around the world that are now connected to the internet for various emerging applications. Low-power, wide-area Network (LPWAN) technologies are targeting at these emerging applications and markets. LPWAN is a generic term for a group of technologies that enable wide area communications at lower cost points and better power consumption. It is perfectly suitable for the IoT applications that only need to transmit tiny amounts of information in a long range. Among LPWAN technologies NB-IoT is one of the licensed technology offers benefit in terms of QoS, latency, reliability, and range.

I am interested to know how the proposed method contributes to improving the efficiency of communication costs between healthcare devices in a healthcare facility. My question is, is the number of 40 to 50 NB-IoT devices you used as parameters for your simulation average for a modern healthcare facility? In our proposed system, we developed prioritized heterogeneous data transmission for classified events to aid healthcare applications using integrated D2D NB-IoT (In band underlay mode) which maximizes throughput and assure QoS. We considered our system for a single smart hospital with a single NB-IoT base station, which ensures a reliable service inside the smart hospital using our proposed optimum resource allocation. In our simulation, we employed 40–50 NB-IoT devices, which produced excellent results for minimizing latency and increasing delivery ratio while varying the number of NB-IoT devices and base station radius. Our key contribution is to pairing of sensing devices with cellular user equipment in close proximity which makes the data transmission faster according to applications urgency, results in reduced latency and higher delivery ratio.
