Thank you for the clear presentation. My question is, you mentioned that IRS is not practical and difficult to acquire, so, how is your proposed IMI overcome this difficulty? Thank you for your qustion. Firstly, the passive reflections of all reflecting elements at each IRS need to be properly designed to achieve cooperative signal focusing and/or interference cancellation in consideration of optimizing their end-to-end communications over the reconfigured wireless channels by IRSs. In this study, In order to reduce interference from other OAM modes, the IMI cancellation uses a linear filter based on minimum mean square error(MMSE) that minimizes the squared error between the real transmission line and the estimated model as transmission line estimation when noise power is considered. This enables compensation of relatively small distortions, and stable characteristics can be obtained with a small amount of computation. In this simulations are performed assuming perfect CSI, however in real network, it is practically difficult task to acquire the channel state information (CSI) between IRS and users that is essential to the aforementioned IRS reflection optimization, considering that IRS has a large number of reflecting elements and thus associated channel coefficients to be estimated. In future work, we need to consider imperfect CSI.

First of all, thank you for the good research paper and presentation contents. I would like to know more about the research environment used in this study, and also in detail about the operating systems, development languages and software libraries you used. Thanks for your suggestions. The environment is based on Windows 10 operation system. In this study, the simulations are implemented based on Python 3.6 language with numpy and matplotlib library.

Dear Author, thank you for your presentation. Do you have any plans for future work, such as deploying your algorithm in real network? Thanks for your question. In the future, we plan to improve the algorithm and evaluate the quality of OAM multiplexing communication when IRSs are placed virtually in the city by using the ray-tracing method. Currently, various telecommunication companies and university institutions are experimenting with the design of IRS for beyond5G, and network construction is still in the simulation stage. Experiments combining OAM multiplexing and IRS have not yet been carried out. Therefore, to implement experiments, we need to design the signal processing software and UCA for OAM multiplexing, as well as the IRS. Currently, we are implementing experiments of OAM multiplexing. In the future, we hope to implement the IRS and do measurements experiment in various environments.

Dear Author, you have a very good research. However, I would like to know if the technology today capable of implementing your proposed algorithm? Is there an existing technology almost similar to your proposal that has been deployed in real world environment? Thank you and stay safe. Thanks for your question. I feel that this technology has a still long way to be implemented. Currently, various telecommunication companies and university institutions are experimenting with the design of IRS for beyond5G, and network construction is still in the simulation stage. On the other hand, regarding OAM multiplexing communication, many researches and experiments in industry have been conducted to verify the feasibility of OAM wireless communications. OAM-MIMO multiplexing RF communication with a total of 11 OAM modes achieves a transmission rate of 100 Gbps over a transmission distance of 10 meters. Multiplexing of OAM modes can achieve better capacity and energy efficiency compared with conventional LOS-MIMO. However, OAM-related schemes face a severe challenge as strict alignment condition between transmit and receive UCAs is required. In addition, experiments combining OAM multiplexing and IRS have not yet been conducted, and verification by simulation is insufficient.
