On page 2, the key contributions mention the formation of 32 possible configurations. Why is this number necessary to comprehensively assess how multiple selection and computation strategies impact estimation performance? The 32 configurations come from all combinations of the three steps in our framework: two plot-level estimation methods, eight plot-selection strategies, and two group-level representations. Evaluating all combinations allows a fair and systematic assessment of how each design choice, and their interactions, affects elevation accuracy and stability, without bias toward any specific method.

Is it possible to integrate machine learning into this method? In this case, we believe that machine learning is not necessary at the current stage, because each processing stage has its own specific characteristics and dedicated strategies. This part is conceptually similar to feature selection in machine learning. In future work, we may consider applying machine learning in subsequent processing stages.

Can this algorithm be effective for small or fast-moving targets like drones, not just aircraft? Yes, it is absolutely possible. Clustering and cluster representative selection are fundamental problems in most radar data processing tasks, and this algorithm can be fully applied to radar target objects

Is the radar dataset used in this paper publicly available? The data used in this paper were collected directly from a military air-defence surveillance radar system developed and manufactured by our company. For information security reasons, these data are not permitted to be made publicly available

Does the optimal A2B1C2 configuration guarantee consistent performance in diverse environments like rain or clutter, and is the computational load of the three-step process suitable for real-time tracking systems? We have conducted experiments in a noisy environment, and the results were effective. This approach is analyzed offline using radar data to determine the optimal solution for the radar data, and this optimized method is then applied to the system, thereby fully ensuring online performance.
