Have can you assure that the false positive rate also triggered the pesticide inspection algorithm? Since it is the false positive report, it would be two possible situations: false in "no pesticide found" and false in " pesticide found even no pesticide indeed". Both situations are caused by the inspector or the operation during laboratory. Therefore, if the false data is given from the source (laboratory), our system can only provide the data tracing and tracking service.

Dear author, you have a very interesting research. In the paper, what methods did you use when you checked and validated blocked data in the full inspection process? Thanks for your question. Yes, in this research, similar to the smart contract, only when the operators(inspectors) would both agree the data exchanging, the contract could be created. In other words, both operators would identify and recognize the exchanged data. But the based on the system, we would only verify the exchanged data instead of the correctness of the data. If any mistake or wrong data causes the final report fail, then based on the chained inspection the possible problem can be traced and tracked. In addition, the data is kept and stored on the private cloud. Therefore, the blocked data still could be checked.

Thank you for your presentation. Could you give some of the development of this paper in the future? Since the blockchain application is developed based on local device and remote cloud, to reduce the transmission data and reduce the computing time is needed. First, to enhance the accuracy with better performance based on limited computing resource of local device is an important issue. Second, to provide the general and public using for normal users is also considered in the future work.

I have a question about the implementation of the blockchain system. What kind of smart contracts are used ? in this research, similar to the smart contract, only when the operators(inspectors) would both agree the data exchanging, the contract could be created. In other words, both operators would identify and recognize the exchanged data. The proposed system is based on the Ethereum service

Thank you for your presentation. I was wondering about the time and space complexity of the proposed system? The proposed system is based on the Ethereum service. However, the real computing time depends on the hardware computing resource available. In this research, the face recognition could be done within 3 seconds.

In conclusion section, you mentioned that the inspection chain based on the blockchain can enhance the accuracy and reliability. How can we measure the accuracy of this proposed method? Since all the data is chained with the corresponding information, it also means the data can be traced and tracked. Therefore, the performance of the laboratories and inspectors can be found, too. The false rate related to each step of pesticide inspection including machines, operators, medicines, can also be evaluated. In addition, the next step inspector could also verify the data from the previous step of inspection. If any information unreasonable, the inspection report is dropped and all inspection verification should be re-checked.

First of all, thank you for the good research paper and presentation contents. I would like to know more about the research environment used in this study, and also in detail about the equipment & operating systems, development languages and software libraries you used. Thanks for your suggestions. The environment is based on the Linux cloud platform (Ubuntu, CentOS..). Each virtual machine is implemented based on the Microsoft Windows or Ubuntu operation system. Independent from the operation system, the blockchain algorithm is implemented based on Java and Python language. In addition, based on the Jetson Nano, the face or image recognition is based on Python language with opencv library. The pesticide inspection is supported by the local inspection center with GC and LC inspection machines.

Thank you for your presentation. I would like to know more about the blockchain's unique private key that you mentioned in slide 20. Sorry for the naive question, but how apply the private key to the blockchain? Is it like salt or pepper in cryptography? Thanks for your question. According to the face recognition results, each face would be represented as the sequential numbers. Different faces would be corresponding to individual numbers. Therefore, based on the first time face recognition result, the sequential numbers of this face would be recorded in the database. When the face is recognized again and matches the recorded face in the database, then the recorded sequential numbers would be used as the private key for blockchain.

How are these measures mentioned in the paper validated Thanks for your question. In this research, similar to the smart contract, only when the operators(inspectors) would both agree the data exchanging, the contract could be created. In other words, both operators would identify and recognize the exchanged data. But the based on the system, we would only verify the exchanged data instead of the correctness of the data. In addition, the data is kept and stored on the private cloud. Therefore, the blocked data still could be checked.

Thank you for your presentation. Is there any room for improvement in the performance of your system? Thanks for your information. Currently, the computing performance would be limited by the hardware such as the GPU of Jetson Nano. Instead of the local computing, the network and computing resource for blockchain verification would cost time and hardware.

Thank you for your presentation. I wanted to ask about the dependency of the proposed system on any particular cloud platform or does it work with any cloud platform? Thanks for your question. Currently, the proposed system is independent from the cloud operation system as much as possible. Indeed, it depends on the program development environment and programming language more than cloud platform.
