Hello, my name is Stevan Del Arisandi from Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia. I want to ask a question regarding Inter-Regional Delivery which you mentioned as your main goal of your research. What if there is a costumer ordering a food that can easily rotten/stale in just a few hours or days by using the Inter-Region Delivery method if the worst case is the estimated time to delivering the food can take hours or even days? What solution would you provide if this case happened?. Thank You. Thanks Stevan for your nice question. Actually, during performamce evaluation of our proposed strategy, we consider that the maximum estimated delivery time to be 60 minutes for inter-region orders whereas, in case of intra-region, it is not more than 30 minutes. However, the maximum allowable time for an order is adjustable and it depends on the circumstances like rush hour, bad weather etc.. If the maximum estimated delivery time exceeds the maximum allowable time for an order, that order will automatically be cancelled from the system. By inter-regions, we actually mean different regions within a city, so it is infeasible to take longer time (i.e. several hours or days) for delivering an order. I hope that clarifies your question.

hi,good work! The next step you plan to study is whether there will be more performance improvements, and what are the main difficulties? Thank you. In our future work, we plan to predict the total service time more acurately by using machine learning which help us to assign the workers for delivering the orders of intra-region faster. Thus to develop a good prediction model for the online food delivery system considering all of the aspect is our next challenge.

Hi! Pleased to your presentation. Can you apply the inter- Inter-Regional Online Food Delivery Systems approach in the real ecosystem? If yes, How would you estimate its effect? Thank you. Yes, our proposed inter-regional food delivery approach can be implemented in real time. This approach facilates the customers more choices for placing their orders with expanding delivery service area beyond specific region. If it will be implemented properly, it enhances the Quality of Experience of the customers, makes the OFD system more profitable and sustainable.

Thanks for your interesting paper! Will you tell us your achievements? Thank you. In this work, we developed an order allocation strategy based on transfer vehicle for the inter-regional online food delivery (QUSOL-FD) that enhances the Quality of Service of the system by increasing number of order while minimizing the service time and expanding the delivery region. Taking into account a transfer vehicle’s service time and capacity to deliver an order from one region to another, our order allocation strategy achieves the shortest service time and the highest number of orders. The evaluation results of performance of the proposed QUSOL-FD indicated the improvements over other state-of-the-art works in terms of average service time and percentage of service delivery improvement.
