| How does the proposed metaverse-based architecture enhance auditing and inspection processes in healthcare and pharmaceutical supply chains compared to traditional methods? |
Traditional audits are periodic and document-based, so issues are found late and with limited context. Our architecture enables continuous data collection, preprocesses and preserves evidence via edge–cloud services, and uses analytics to flag anomalies and risk. Inspectors then validate findings inside a metaverse digital twin, where they can see where and why deviations occur, replay events, collaborate, and generate evidence-backed reports, so auditing becomes faster, more accurate, and more actionable. |

| How do the proposed algorithms for data collection, preprocessing, and risk assessment support compliance-oriented monitoring in a metaverse-enabled supply chain environment? |
Together, the algorithms implement a compliance pipeline, continuous evidence capture, audit-ready data preparation, and risk-based prioritization. This ensures the metaverse doesn’t just visualize data, it presents validated, standardized evidence and flags deviations with risk levels that guide inspection and reporting. |

| The papers three algorithms (data collection, preprocessing, and risk assessment) rely on predefined statistical thresholds for anomaly detection. How might these static thresholds perform in dynamic real-world supply chain environments where baseline conditions shift seasonally or due to regulatory changes, and would adaptive machine learning-based thresholds offer a more robust alternative? |

| The authors acknowledge a significant regulatory gap — no dedicated guidelines currently exist for digital twin-driven audits under frameworks like 21 CFR Part 11 or GAMP. Given this vacuum, what governance mechanisms or interim validation protocols should organizations adopt to ensure metaverse-based audit evidence is legally defensible and accepted by agencies such as the FDA or EMA? |
