| What is the main novelty of your research? |
The novelty of this research lies in integrating Artificial Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence into a single leadership framework for IT project management. While prior studies examined AI and EI separately, this study demonstrates how AI-driven efficiency and EI-driven leadership can complement each other. The framework is empirically grounded through qualitative data and validated by an industry expert, making it both theoretically sound and practically applicable. |

| For junior engineers focusing on technical skills (like coding or networking), at what career stage should they start training their Emotional Intelligence to become future leaders in an AI-integrated environment? |
Interesting Question ! Junior engineers should begin developing Emotional Intelligence from the early stage of their careers, alongside technical skills.
In AI-integrated environments, technical tasks can be augmented or automated by AI, but skills such as communication, self-awareness, collaboration, and ethical judgment take years to develop.
Starting EI development early allows engineers to gradually build leadership capability, so when they move into senior or lead roles, they are already prepared to manage people, interpret AI-driven insights, and lead teams effectively.
Also , The need for undergraduate education to shift from knowledge based to competency based. So that students could get this initial training even while completing their higher studies. |

| the study is mainly for IT projects. Any insights about other domains? such as Construction or Healthcare, where physical safety and human lives are directly at stake? |
Thank you for your question . Although this study focuses on IT service projects, the AI–EI integration framework is conceptually transferable to high-risk domains such as construction and healthcare. In these sectors, AI is already used for predictive risk analysis, safety monitoring, and early anomaly detection.
However, because physical safety and human lives are directly at stake, Emotional Intelligence becomes even more critical. Leaders must ensure AI recommendations are interpreted carefully, communicated clearly, and ethically applied, especially when decisions affect worker safety or patient outcomes.
While the core framework remains applicable, these domains would require stronger ethical governance, domain-specific regulations, and human-in-the-loop decision models. Future research can adapt and validate this framework specifically within construction and healthcare environments. |

| You mentioned that AI handles predictive scheduling and risk detection. If an AI tool recommends removing a team member to improve project efficiency, how should an Emotionally Intelligent leader handle that data-driven insight without damaging team morale or trust? |
Interesting Question! Thank you for your questions . An emotionally intelligent leader should treat AI recommendations as decision support, not automatic decisions. If AI suggests removing a team member for efficiency reasons, the leader must first contextualize the data by understanding the human, emotional, and situational factors behind the recommendation.
Rather than acting immediately, the leader should explore alternatives such as role reassignment, workload redistribution, or additional support and training. Transparent communication is essential—explaining that AI insights are used to optimize processes, not to devalue individuals.
By combining AI’s analytical insight with empathy, fairness, and ethical judgment, leaders can protect team morale and trust while still improving project efficiency.
In essence, AI informs the decision, but emotionally intelligent leadership remains accountable for the human impact. |

| One of your themes is EI as a leadership enabler for conflict resolution. How can AI tools actually support a leader in resolving a human conflict? |
This is a good question! AI does not resolve conflicts directly, but it can support emotionally intelligent leaders by providing valuable context and insights. For example, AI tools can analyze communication patterns, workload distribution, or sentiment trends within teams to identify early signs of tension or disengagement.
This information helps leaders approach conflicts proactively rather than reactively. An emotionally intelligent leader then uses empathy, active listening, and judgment to address the human side of the issue—understanding perspectives, facilitating dialogue, and rebuilding trust.
So, AI supports conflict resolution by offering data-driven awareness, while EI enables the leader to apply that insight in a human-centered, ethical, and constructive way. |
