	UW-LFRR is designed with four goals in mind: fast recovery, localized computation, loop-free forwarding, and minimal control overhead. The central philosophy is to push recovery down into the data plane, use a pre-failure topology snapshot together with local failure perception, and solve only the truly affected local problem instead of triggering network-wide actions.
