We evaluate the performance of our proposed system by conducting two experiments: with Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ boards and Raspberry Pi Zero WH boards.
This slide shows the Emulated IoT Environment and technical specifications weĦŻve used.
As a target system for comparison, we use a simple public key-based system.
In a public key-based system, the publisher generates both a public key and a private key using the RSA algorithm.
This key generation process involves heavy computational requirements for prime number generation.

For evaluation, a small and emulated IoT environment comprising a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and Raspberry Pi Zero WH boards are constructed.
As is evident from the figure, one Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ board or one Raspberry Pi Zero WH board is used as both the publisher and the subscriber.
Multiple Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ boards are used as brokers.
They communicate with each other using the MQTT protocol. An open-source Mosquito-based MQTT broker is used.
The specifications of the publisher, brokers, and subscribers used in our experiments are shown in this table.
