The write path is designed to be sequential. Each packet is forwarded normally, while a clone of its payload is written into the DDR_data ring using burst-aligned transfers. In parallel, we append an address entry into DDR_idx, recording the ring offset, packet length, and epoch bits for validity checking. A single global write pointer eliminates per-flow fragmentation and allocator overhead. The ring operates with cyclic overwrite, deterministically overwriting the oldest data. | |
