Before the initialization phase, nodes have no prior knowledge of the positions of other nodes. During initialization, all nodes broadcast their current positions and future trajectory information in a random order using conventional centralized TDMA. To avoid packet collisions, each time slot is designed to be long enough to accommodate a standard data packet as well as the maximum propagation delay. Based on the received information, the control node computes the pairwise distances between nodes and constructs the distance matrix 𝓓. Using the PSR formula introduced earlier, the control node further estimates the pairwise packet success rates and derives the transmission success probability matrix 𝓟.
