IEEE/ICACT20260043 Slide.16        [Big Slide]       Oral Presentation
One of our biggest technical challenges was handling One vs. Two Hands. ISL contains both, but neural networks require a fixed input size. Our strategy was to define a fixed input vector size of 84. If two hands are detected, we fill the vector completely. If only one hand is detected, we fill the first 42 slots and pad the remaining 42 slots with zeros. This allows a single model to seamlessly switch between one and two-handed signs without crashing.
