In terms of energy efficiency, the figure shows that FARM-CLM continuously improves on CLM, 53-63% less FDP. Recall that the lower value of a forward-delay product correlates to better energy efficiency.
However, with respect to hop-count based routing, FARM-CLM advantages appear only at the heavier center traffic scenarios and has longer packet delay at the lightly-loaded center traffic situations.
This behavior is due to the reason as mentioned previously. That is, first, it forwarded more packets in longer paths. |
