Let's move on to the next protocol SAFELearn. SAFELearn is a generic design for FL-safe aggregation that can accommodate a variety of security and efficiency requirements as well as multiple aggregation mechanisms. It is instantiated in the paper using Secure Two-Party Computation. SAFELearn can be implemented using Full HE, Multi-Party Computation, or STPC, depending on the efficiency and security requirements of the specific application. The scheme using full HE is described in Section IV. The complete flow of the SAFELearn algorithm is shown in Algorithm 1. |
