If the repaired path encounters a new failure, the node that first detects the new failure promotes itself to a new repair node, extends the accumulated failure list, rebuilds its local purified view, and reruns the two-stage selection to compute a new detour. This turns a complex multi-failure event into a chain of local repairs, and because the failure set grows monotonically and the view is pruned accordingly, the search region effectively tightens, avoiding repeated oscillations under the same stale rule set.
