Influence of Different Structural Parameters on Spectrum Characteristics:
An automatic fault detection method for gear system based on current spectrum energy estimation (difference frequency between Figure 5 & 6) is proposed.
Influence of gear fault on mechanical quantities such as coil pitch and load torque. The results show that the frequency spectrum variation and eccentricity of stator current signal caused by gear defects can be neglected. Therefore, the research focuses on the load torque change caused by gear failure in the system (Figures 5 & 6).
