Detection accuracy is important, but users care about service. During the attack window, baselines show a clear drop in Request Success Ratio and Cache Hit Ratio, often falling below 80% RSR and 65% CHR. DT-NRS degrades more slowly and recovers faster. At the worst point, RSR stays around 88 to 90 percent, meaning roughly nine out of ten legitimate requests still succeed even under sustained attacks. Meanwhile, CHR remains close to 70 percent, indicating that caching still works effectively and continues to offload the backbone and origin servers during attacks. So DT-NRS does not just detect attacks—it preserves availability and cache efficiency, which are the key promises of ICN.
