In Conclusion, we successfully developed a real-time, lightweight, and private ISL interpreter that runs on standard hardware, fulfilling the vision of Ubiquitous AI.
While our current limitation is that we support only static gestures , our Future Work involves integrating LSTMs to recognize dynamic, time-series gestures and incorporating facial landmarks to capture grammatical nuances. This work is a foundational step toward inclusive, low-cost assistive technology for the 70 million hearing-impaired individuals in India. |
