You say the core height of 210nm and the rib height of 70nm has a good compromise between FSR, FWHM and Q-factor, I am wondering in what specific applications, we need the compromise? In order to achieve a good performance of MRR, the MRR must exhibit the characteristics of wide FSR, low FWHM and high Q-factor. With high FSR, ultra-high effective index contrast can be achieved which results in very tight bends and thus compact rings are possible. So, core height of 210nm and rib height of 70 nm is a good compromise to get high FSR with high Q-factor at the same time as we want to achieve good FSR and Q-factor at the same time for good performance in application of MRR.
