How do you troubleshoot harddisk space on a server ? Because storing a lot of logs consumes a lot of harddisks on the server and can slow down processing. If you are referring to stored logs in a server for centralization in step 3, actually if you are using a log management solution so the logs would be stored in a database, for example, graylog2 which uses Elasticsearch Database to store logs which will be stored in shards and elasticsearch has no limit technically but however, they recommend upper limit of 50GB, so slowing down the process is very unlickely , and for step one and two the logs remain in the cloud.
