IEEE/ICACT20240052 Answer.3
Answer by Auhor mingannchung@ntut.edu.tw   2023-12-22 ¿ÀÈÄ 5:31:56
Why does the chip antenna in this paper feature a slot cutting structure? The chip antenna incorporates slot cutting in its design to address the limitations imposed by the CMOS process density. Specifically, slot cutting was performed on the Metal 6 layer of the antenna. Slot cutting in the Metal 6 layer is a crucial step to achieve these characteristics while adhering to the process density limitations of the CMOS technology. Simulation testing verified that the slot cutting did not significantly alter the antenna's performance, demonstrating its effectiveness in the design without compromising the antenna's functionality.
