What novel approach is introduced for database workload management, and how does it differ from existing philosophies and thoughts in the field? We have identified the key Workload Parameters that are helpful to characterize the workload that may be either OLTP or DSS. Our approach is different from previous approaches as we have calculated the exact OLTP and DSS percentage of each workload type by using the Fuzzy logic. Moreover, we have also detected the idleness period in which we can execute system processes like backup and recovery.
