The architecture of the patient remote monitoring system based on VLC, presented on page 10 of the PPT, uses static VLC transceivers. Each sensor is equipped with a transmission LED oriented toward the ceiling, where multiple photodetectors are installed to ensure a line-of-sight (LOS) connection. The diversity effect is achieved by using multiple photodetectors, with optimized spacing to ensure robust data reception.
