Why was Raptor coding specifically chosen over other FEC schemes for integration with random routing, and how does its rateless property complement the unpredictability of KRRD paths. I chose Raptor coding because random routing (KRRD) makes end-to-end delivery highly unpredictable, and Raptor’s rateless nature fits that uncertainty: I can generate as many coded packets as needed, and the receiver can decode once it has collected enough packets.
