In this paper we propose a conversational chatbot to to reduce the negative effects of the covid-19 pandemic on student achievement. Our conversational chatbot is integrated to moodle to make it easier for students to use it. The chatbot direct students to the appropriate content according to their deficiencies. The chatbot help the teacher to direct their remediation based on the results of the assessments of their students. As improvement the chatbot must create custom MCQs path based on ongoing student answers

At the end of the evaluation, the student has his note and recommandations according to his performance.

After the identification of the student, he proceeds to a formative evaluation by conversing naturally with the chatbot.

The User Interface (UI) of the chatbot is a plugin developed and integrated in Moodle , a popular Learning Management System (LMS). This UI is integrated in the course and let the student interact with the chatbot. In the first discussing, the student is identified as shown.

The proposed architecture consists of four (4) distinct layer: - The moodle plugin used by student as UI with the chatbot - The machine learning NLU layer implemented by Rasa framework - The action Server used to implement business logic - The data layer to store data

The remediation conversational chabot is implemented using Rasa framework and a Moodle plugin is developed to integrate it. Rasa framework help us implement Natural Language Understanding (NLP) and let student have a friendly discussion with the chatbot. It allow us developing the custom business logic through action server

Our approach is to assess students through a conversational chatbot in order to follow each student individually. At the end of the assessment , students are direct according to their deficiencies to the appropriate content. The data collect by the chatbot allow the teacher to direct their remediation based on the results of the assessments.

This widespread introduction of e-learning has caused a lot of difficulties. Teachers could no longer follow students correctly and students who were not used to this teaching method could not follow correctly. According to Canadian researchers, the impact of covid-19 could range from a loss of learning outcomes to an increase in drop-out rates if no action is taken. A chatbot can help learning with the same advantages as those obtained from a "real" interview. All the initiatives aimed at remediation have remained at the recommendation stage and chatbots are most used in online foreign language learning.

In the context of covid-19, one of the barrier gestures being social distancing, face-to-face classes have been suspended. Many higher education institutions that were not prepared for e-learning suddenly switched to online courses in order not to lose the academic year. Students no longer have the follow-up that they had when they were learning face-to-face. The question we try to answer in this paper is : How can we reduce the negative effect of the pandemic outbreak on the student¡¯s level the next years using conversational chatbot?
