The transition to 6G networks in West Africa, and more specifically within the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), risks being hampered by static spectrum management approaches. These approaches lead to a significant reduction in the efficiency of available frequency use and considerable economic waste.
This thesis examines the context in order to propose solutions for the rational optimization of spectrum

A thorough analysis of primary frequency band usage profiles, as described by specific spatial analyses, reveals a persistent underutilization across all primary bands. This observation confirms the inefficiency of static allocations in achieving optimal use of the primary spectrum. |

In conclusion, I would say: The objective of this study was to bridge the significant gap between the technical feasibility of dynamic spectrum sharing and its actual political implementation within the rapidly expanding 6G ecosystem in West Africa. The results of this comprehensive study demonstrate how the current use of frequency bands represents a considerable loss of economic opportunity. Several approaches are proposed to achieve significantly higher levels of efficiency than those currently available.
