Hello everyone, myself MD Humayun Kabir Rupak. I am now presenting our paper, Eco-Supply Chain, a blockchain-based enabled dual-flow framework for counterfeit prevention, profit transparency and sustainable recycling. So my co-authors are Rakib Hasan, Md. Masudul Islam, Md. Shafiqul Islam.

So lets talk about what is Eco-Supply Chain. So basically, in supply chain we alwaysnotice that its basically one-directional. So from manufacturer to low-level actor, its just a transfer in one-directional flow. So, we proposed a system thats a dual-flow supply chain management system in which forward flow ensures the distribution of products and reverse flow ensures recycling and reward mechanism. how can we actually encourage the entity of the supply chain that they are encouraged to recycle their waste. So it also ensures our proposed system, also ensures counterfeit product detection and profit control in each layer of the supply chain. So each entity can actually check the product authenticity and also can check the profit, how much profit actually the seller taking from the buyer. So the buyer can check that also. by considering recycling performance, a government authority ensures tax way to the manufacturers. When a manufacturer performs well in the recycling and they also get rewards from the government authority.

These are the related works they are working on supply chain, blockchain-based supply chain. And they propose, basically they propose, most of the papers proposed in one-directional and we found the gap that there is no such paper thats also actually talked about how reverse flow will work. And a few more papers actually talked about reverse flow, but they didnt actually talk about the recycling, and how they actually encourage them to recycle. So we want to contribute in that part, reverse and also forward one.

Most existing blockchain-based supply chain systems focus on only partial objectives, such as traceability or anti-counterfeiting. However, no unified framework currently integrates counterfeit detection, profit verification, and recycling incentives into a single system. Additionally, forward and reverse supply chains are typically treated as separate processes, which prevents closed-loop lifecycle traceability. Finally, the lack of decentralized incentive mechanisms limits effective adoption of circular economy practices. These gaps clearly highlight the need for an integrated and holistic supply chain solution.

Our system enables a dual-flow blockchain that connects forward and reverse supply chains. It ensures secure QR-based product authentication, privacy-preserving profit verification, and automated recycling incentives through smart contracts. Government oversight supports tax benefits, delivering full end-to-end lifecycle traceability with transparency and immutability

So this is our proposed architecture. lets say we have a factory and manufacturer factory. So first what it will do, it will produce a product and it will generate a unique hash with QR code. And that hash will also push into the blockchain and the QR code also attached with the products. When actually supplier buy that product from the factory, supplier can check that how much profit actually factory is doing. And also supplier can check the product authenticity that product is actually made from a third party or not. So basically, its the same process is followed for the lower level like store will buy from supplier and buyer will buy from store. Each stage they can check the profit margin and also check the product authenticity. And in reverse flow, lets say this plastic bottle, if that buyer actually return that empty plastic bottle to store, it will get the rewards according to the particular mathematical calculation like the amount, it may be amount or it may be weight, how much weight actually they return to the store. So according to that base, automatically reward will send to the buyer wallet And also for also the same process is followed from store to supplier. When store return that empty plastic bottle to supplier, then supplier will send the amount of rewards to the store. And when supplier actually finally return that product to the factory, then supplier will also get some reward from the manufacturer. And when manufacturer reuse that product to again produce their product, if their performance is very well, then they can claim some tax from the authority in their organization or company. So this is the complete product life cycle of our dual eco supply chain.

So basically our factory opens our decentralized application and connect with MetaMask account and manufacturer will fill the product information and create QR code and create a hash embedded with QR code. That hash is inserted into the chain and QR code can attach to the product. And basically before when it actually generate the hash, that hash must be signed using the MetaMask account. MetaMask account basically, then our decentralized system will connect with the alchemy provider. It can be any provider, but we use alchemy here. Existing provider and we must need a smart contract to verify or push the hash into the chain. Then It will store in the blockchain, immutable blockchain, which is also transparent. Anyone in the chain can check the product authenticity. So basically the hash will embed it with the QR code. Thats the last step. So in the verification step, anyone can use their device using our application. Through our application, they can scan the QR code and check the product authenticity. It will basically compare the stored hash and the current product information and show the product authenticity results. So in the recycling part, a buyer actually returns the product to Store. When it returns the product to Store, Store will again scan the QR code. At that time, from the product information, the amount of the product will be automatically calculated and the calculated rewards will be sent to the buyers. Accordingly, these are the similar steps. And the last step in the factory, actually government authority here, the government authority can monitor each of the actor, like from manufacturer to buyer. So according to the performance of the manufacturer, government can waive their taxes.

The system uses a React-based DApp for product registration, transfer, and QR authentication, relying on blockchain identity instead of traditional logins. Web3.js connects the frontend to Ethereum smart contracts, while MetaMask securely manages user authentication and transaction signing. Alchemy ensures reliable and scalable node access, and Solidity smart contracts handle all core supply chain, recycling, profit, and tax logic on the Ethereum blockchain, guaranteeing immutability and decentralization.

So in Result, we are taking some properties like counterfeit detection, QR code authenticity, profit transparency, and recycling chain, and auto reward system, and government monitoring system, and also providing some research, providing some rewards. So in our proposed system, we ensure all of them, but the existing system doesnt actually offer all the facilities in single platform.
ICACT20260235 Slide.14        [Big Slide] Chrome Click!!
Previous systems address only parts of the supply chain problem—some focus on counterfeit detection and QR authentication, while others provide profit transparency. However, none offer a fully integrated circular economy solution. Our proposed EcoSupplyChain combines authentication, transparent profit tracking, bidirectional supply chains, automated recycling rewards, and government tax incentives, ensuring end-to-end traceability, complete counterfeit prevention, and real-time transparency.

EcoSupplyChain fills major gaps left by existing blockchain supply chain systems Previous works addressed only partial features (authentication or profit transparency) EcoSupplyChain uniquely integrates all components for a circular economy supply chain Combines counterfeit detection, QR authentication, profit transparency, reverse logistics, automated rewards, and government oversight in one system Enables seamless bidirectional supply chain: Factory ¡æ Buyer and Buyer ¡æ Factory Uses blockchain-linked QR codes to achieve 100% counterfeit detection accuracy Automates real-time profit margin tracking via smart contracts, eliminating human error

So in our future, basically to improve, we can transfer it in the layer two solution because scalability must be ensured if the users are increasing accordingly. So we can also integrate IoT basically that we can get more accurate data from IoT and AI-based system. So thats all.
